Wendy Welch

Certified Parent Educator

Wendy earned her Associates Degree in Elementary Education from Ricks College in Rexburg Idaho in 1987 and went on to earn her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1991 from Brigham Young University in Utah.  In between her degrees she was fortunate enough to live in Bolivia where she enjoyed learning the Spanish language.  Upon returning back to the States, she began an internship at Rock Canyon Elementary School in Provo, Utah where she helped teach the 4th grade.  After completing her internship she began a career as a teacher at the same school where she taught 1st, 4th and 6th grade over a course of six years.  During this time she was on the Strategic Plan Committee for the school and helped formulate a school wide strategic plan.

Wendy then moved to Idaho and was active in the PTO and became PTO Presidet at Cloverdale Elementary School.  When her youngest of three children began kindergarten she became a PAT (Parents as Teachers) certified teacher and began doing home visits with the Even Start program that was in Bonneville School District 93.  She also worked as a preschool teacher in the Even Start program.  She is currently working with Help Inc. as a PAT Educator, and as an El Valor teacher in the both the parenting class and the preschool where she helps teach spanish speaking families the English language.

Wendy has three children; two girls and one boy and enjoys spending time working and playing with them.  In her free time she enjoys reading, playing board games and gardening.
